Pet Network ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Pet Network mobile application and website at petnetwork.io (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: Name, email address, and profile picture when you register or sign in with Google.
• Profile content: Username, bio, pet photos, and any other content you choose to add to your profile.
• Community content: Posts, comments, and messages you share within the app.
• Shelter information: If you register an animal association, we collect the association name, location, contact details, and description you provide.
• Communications: Messages you send us via contact forms or email.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
• Usage data: Mining session timestamps and duration, app features used, in-app navigation patterns, and interaction logs.
• Log data: IP address, browser type (for web), access times, pages viewed, and crash reports.
• Token data: PET coin balance, mining history, transaction records, and referral activity.

Information from Third Parties

• Google Sign-In: When you authenticate via Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
• Firebase Analytics: Aggregated analytics data provided by Google Firebase.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and provide the Service.
• Process and record PET coin mining sessions and token balances.
• Display your profile, posts, and activity to other users as part of the community features.
• Send you service-related notifications (e.g., mining rewards, referral bonuses).
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the Service.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information about you:

Google Firebase

We use Firebase for authentication (Firebase Auth), database storage (Firestore), and analytics. Firebase is operated by Google LLC. Their privacy practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Google Sign-In

We offer Google Sign-In as an authentication method. When you use this feature, Google shares your basic profile information with us. You can review Google's data practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

Cloudflare R2

We store user-uploaded images (such as profile photos and pet pictures) using Cloudflare R2 object storage, operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare's privacy practices are described at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Expo & React Native

Our mobile app is built with Expo. Expo may collect limited device and usage data for app delivery and update purposes.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics), subject to confidentiality agreements.
• Legal requirements: If required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Pet Network, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset.
• With your consent: In any other case with your explicit consent.

Community content such as your username, posts, profile photo, and leaderboard position are visible to other users of the Service by design.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

Mining history and token transaction records may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form for statistical and audit purposes even after account deletion.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

• Withdrawal of consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@petnetwork.io and we will delete such information promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
